I'm no Covidiot!

Since the world went into lock down over the spread of this terrible virus, I’ve had some time to reflect on my work, installed a small kiln, and am pursuing some different forms. I have been overwhelmed by the response to the work that I put up on Facebook and thank you again to all those who purchased my work! More work will show up as time moves on.

Now that Ontario is opening up for business again, my friends at the London Clay Art Centre have invited me to teach a week long session in throwing on the potters wheel and slip decorating. If you are interested, click here and scroll down the page a bit. This is one of the few adult clay camps being offered this year, and I’m privileged to be the instructor.

I have just returned from a meeting where we went over protocols for teaching the classes safely. The standard rules apply, everyone wears a mask or shield, hand washing is a must, most of the cleanup happens at the wheel, etc. It’s a lot less dangerous than going to the grocery store… for sure!

It should be a fun class, and I’m looking forward to it. Not that I have been cooped up or anything. I still need to go out into the world and forage for food, my Mother needs more and more attention, and there has been the garden, and walks in a nearby wooded area. Despite all the bread making that has been going on around here I have managed to go down two pant sizes!
