The new year is almost here and I have enlisted some help to create a brand new website for myself. Kudos to Lionel Morise for all his good work! I have a very exciting year coming up and this new site will help me to accomplish a number of things that I want to share with my friends.
Specifically, as many of my Facebook friends know, I have been invited to South Korea to conduct a workshop! Along with Tony Clennell, Unha Hill from Hamilton, has made arrangements for an entire group of potters to travel to South Korea to tour around the country, and even work with five Master potters! I am so grateful for this opportunity to present a workshop there, and will be sure to keep everyone posted as the trip progresses, but for now there are many other things to accomplish.
Eventually I will have the ability to sell my pottery online and ship worldwide. I’m grateful that my work is starting to attract some international attention, and so this seems to be a necessary step in this age of miracle and wonder. I will keep you posted as to the progress of that little project.
As well I hope to be able to share some thoughts about working in clay, making in general, and the strong community that has thankfully developed for me to support my creative endeavours, as I hope it has for all my fellow potters. The blog will help with that, as well as helping me to receive feedback from my friends out there in the world wide web, but for now it’s back to the studio at the London Clay Art Centre here in London, Ontario where some boards of mugs are waiting to be decorated for Tourism London.
With warmest regards I remain,
