Vic Roschkov

Vic
Roschkov
was born in London, Ontario in 1962. At an early age he showed an interest in
drawing....probably the result of being part of an actively artistic family
which encouraged artistic development. Vic attended the art program at Danforth
Technical School in Toronto for three years. Back in London he completed his
art training at Beal Secondary School.
Soon, thereafter, Vic moved to Edmonton, where he worked as a successful commercial
artist for several advertising/design agencies. Returning back to London in
1987, Vic continued working as a commercial artist for ten years, also mastering
his ink and water colour renderings of commercial and residential buildings.
This sparked his interest in Fine Art. His passion for watercolour landscape
painting, particularly the Southwestern Ontario countryside took over his artistic
life. In a representational style, Vic pours out his emotions to create what
the eyes see. Mostly self taught, and passionately in love with painting, Vic
strives to capture the subtle charm and beauty of the surrounding countryside.
Vic has had several solo exhibitions and in 2005 was awarded "Best In Show"
at the Lambeth Art Association show and sale. Vic has also participated in many
large respected group shows over the past nine years.
