Artist's
Statement
Having aways being interested in art, after my seventh child, I began to explore
the world of painting. Creative decorating in our large home changed with the
introduction of acrylics and their fasinating variety of colors. Farm chores
gave way to buttery cream oils, realistic images and travelling for classes,
air flights, making friends and seeing our Canada. Freedom of water color brought
a serious interest in fine arts, entering juried competitions, searching for
shows and galleries to exhibit my works. Fun loving images emerged when pens.
pencil, charcoal and inks came into my life. Mixed media pieces, clay and jewellery
pop in between canvases. Local and international teachers now my work has travelled
farther than I have. Flights of fancy, exlporation of colors, pathways of composition....I
grew as my children grew....what fun...........
